about jV

Jessenia Velazquez, also known as "JV," is a powerhouse in the entertainment industry, former dancer for 20+ years, entrepreneur, owner of JV Creations, a platform that serves as a one-stop shop for dancers & creative artists in their journey of exploring, expanding and experiencing their artistic voice.

Growing up, JV found freedom, inspiration, and a sense of belonging within the world of creativity specifically through dance and fashion. The arts became her safe haven, allowing her to explore her emotions, express her unique voice, and find purpose in the midst of life's challenges. Her story serves as a testament to the influence the arts can have on one's trajectory. She knows firsthand the impact it can have on individuals' lives, particularly those who may not have had access to such opportunities. It is this knowledge that drives her to create inclusive spaces, provide resources, and advocate for the arts as a catalyst for change. Which is why she created The CAD Program to empower the next generation of aspiring dancers to explore the layers of creativity out there.

She sees each client/student/mentee as a unique canvas waiting to be transformed, and her favorite part of her work is witnessing the incredible journey of growth and confidence that unfolds along the way.

With two decades of industry experience under her belt, JV's dance background varies from styles including jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, house, and Latin. Her expertise and versatility have made her a sought-after teacher, having imparted her knowledge in jazz funk, heels, hip hop, and Latin fusion at renowned studios such as Debbie Reynolds, Millennium, Movement Lifestyle, EXPG, and Broadway Dance Center. Her teaching endeavors have taken her across the globe, empowering and inspiring aspiring dancers everywhere.

JV has worked with A-list artists including Beyoncé, Kehlani, Fergie, Ariana Grande, J Alvarez, Jojo, Lil Kim, Leikeli47, CL, and many more. She has also graced the screens, with appearances on Disney's "Dog with the Blog" and "Cougartown," as well as a national Comcast commercial.
